Native music playback research · CD mastering comparisons
The original arrangement rendered through the game’s verified sequencer and corresponding hardware emulators, at the shared game timer rate and native volume. These are separate from the CD tracks. Composer Barry Leitch describes the MT-32 arrangement as the superior version in his 2026 soundtrack release.
Raw unsigned 8-bit mono samples, with rates recovered from the native effect descriptors. Playback here omits the game’s sound-card processing and spatial attenuation.
Matching selections are grouped by their original launcher slot; filenames and arrangements can differ by hardware. Extra resources with no confirmed counterpart are listed separately. SCC-1A and SC-55 play the same score through different hardware.
Group names describe the original selection slots, rather than guaranteeing identical compositions. Original filenames remain beside each player. Missing entries and the FM resource assigned to the LAPC interception slot are labelled explicitly. Extra arrangements and unidentified banks are kept separately, without guessed matches.
Exports cover the first native traversal plus a two-second release tail, at the verified game timer (54.62 Hz) and song volume (75). Hover over a player for duration, repeat and gain details.
Names and indices come from START.EXE; local parser associations are linked from each presentation. A missing association means inherited or conditional playback remains unresolved.
