Recorded demo inputs

All four original tapes are decoded to their final byte. Each bundles the mission script, player loadout, campaign flags, preferences, restore state and objective text; its final key/joystick configuration block is empty. Every frame has been compared with the original DBSIM playback routine.

The stream stores a command, four signed axes, simulation delta, packed buttons and 14-byte mouse events. Unlike Earthsiege 2, this version has no joystick-capability prefix or separate command queue. The recorded delta is a signed Q8 simulation-step ratio: 256 represents a nominal 100 ms step. Normal live pacing clamps the ratio to 64–450. The summed nominal input duration is shown below; it includes records consumed inside modal dialogs and therefore is not elapsed simulation or wall-clock time. Complete original playback and return captures are now available in the replay browser; C++ equivalence remains a separate check.

Expansion recordings

The expansion stores a 16-byte input packet, two counts, mouse events and a separate 16-bit command queue. These are different recordings from the four original demos. Each packet is checked against expansion DBSIM; the starting-world captures precede the first simulation tick.
