# Media records

Start with the [release comparison](../media-comparison.md).

- `intake.json`, `intake-additions.json`: original supplied names, sizes, hashes and filesystem timestamps.
- `cd_*.json`, `patch_*.json`, `demo_*.json`: full file manifests, source metadata and independent extraction verification. The 2024 duplicate's destination points to the original European V2 directory; its original dates remain in its own manifest.
- `*-sectors.json`: raw-sector EDC/ECC and structural checks.
- `disc-layouts.json`: original CUE text, actual BIN associations and empty Form 2 tails.
- `japanese-dump/`: original dump identifiers and small diagnostic records.
- `verification/`: independent 7-Zip extraction logs and complete RAR test result.
- `executable-builds.json`: distinct Apache binaries, embedded compilation strings and every occurrence.
- `file-comparisons.json`: pairwise disc file differences, using case-insensitive DOS/Windows paths.
- `patch-comparisons.json`: patch files matching retained CDs, including renamed executables.
- `patch-download.json`: recovery of the actual 1.2 ZIP from the supplied HTML download page.
- `collection-summary.json`: totals and deduplicated storage.
- `final-verification.json`: final retained-file verification.
- `cleanup.json`: verified source-container deletions and their retained replacements.

Image mastering dates, file timestamps and embedded executable compilation dates are separate evidence. A newer image timestamp does not establish a newer game build.

- `manual.json`: provenance and checksum of the original PDF retained at the workspace root.
- `soldout-consolidation.json`: removal of the redundant Sold Out directory and its unwanted extras. Its original `cd_1998_09.json` manifest records each retained replacement or discarded path.
- `retained-verification-2026-11-05.json`: verification after consolidation, including the relocated manual.
